FAQs
What’s the difference between this and counseling?
Advocacy is short-term and more focused on practical support, while counseling is long-term, therapeutic care. Many people do both.
Do I have to talk about what happened?
No. You choose what to share—even if it’s nothing at all. We’re here to listen, not to pressure.
Can I meet with an advocate more than once?
Yes. While it’s not ongoing therapy, you can schedule multiple support appointments if needed.
