You deserve safety.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve to heal.

Sollera offers free, trauma-informed support for victim-survivors of violence and abuse-and works to prevent harm before it happens.

From RACC to Sollera:
A New Name for the Same Mission

For more than 45 years, we’ve been known as Rape & Abuse Crisis Center—a vital source of healing, advocacy, and prevention in the Fargo-Moorhead region.

Today, we continue that same mission under a new name: Sollera.

The name Sollera is inspired by sol (sun) and Soteria, the Greek goddess of safety. It reflects the warmth, strength, and protection we offer to every person who walks through our doors—and the full spectrum of services we now provide.

We didn’t remove services. We removed barriers.

Our new name helps ensure more people feel safe reaching out—whether they’re seeking long-term healing, parenting support, education, or immediate crisis care. It honors where we’ve been while making space for everyone who needs us now.

Same heart. Expanded reach. A name that makes room for more.

Why We Became Sollera:
A New Name, the Same Heart

After decades as the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center, we knew it was time for a change—not because our mission had shifted, but because it had grown. Our new name is a reflection of the strength and protection we provide to everyone who walks through our doors. Sollera is inspired by the warmth of the sun (sol) and Soteria, the Greek Goddess of safety and deliverance from harm. This name better reflects the healing, safety, and dignity we offer, honoring our history while removing barriers for those seeking a path toward a brighter future.

Our Why

Every person deserves the chance to feel safe, be heard, and heal—no matter when the harm happened, how it looks, or who caused it.

As Sollera (formerly Rape & Abuse Crisis Center), we’ve walked alongside thousands of victim-survivors and families. Now, we’re reaching even further—offering healing, education, and hope to more people than ever before.

Our work is guided by our core values: remaining person-centered, accessible, and dependable in every interaction. By being collaborative with our community and unwavering in our commitment, we ensure that no one has to walk the path to healing alone.

Our Mission:

To foster a strong community where healthy relationships thrive, everyone feels safe and respected, and those in need find support on their healing journey.

Our Vision:

We will lead by example and work alongside our community to dismantle patterns of interpersonal violence and build a nonviolent future through specialized services rooted in education, empowerment, healing, and belonging.
