A great deal can do a lot of good this weekend.

My Best Friend’s Closet is hosting a bin-style Garage Sale for Good on Saturday, September 12, with every item priced at just $1-$2. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Sollera and help support our work with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.

My Best Friend’s Closet is a local women’s consignment boutique specializing in name-brand clothing, shoes and accessories. Owner Lora has gathered consignment items that did not sell and is giving them another opportunity to make an impact—this time by turning every purchase into support for survivors.

Sollera’s relationship with My Best Friend’s Closet began with its founders, Meredith Haugen and her mom. Meredith was a dedicated Sollera volunteer with a special passion for helping children. After her passing, her family honored that passion by creating the Meredith Haugen Play Therapy Room—a safe, welcoming space where children can process their experiences and begin to heal. Her family continues to support children’s therapy and volunteer with Sollera today. Now, owner and Sollera volunteer Lora is carrying on the store’s tradition of giving back through efforts like this sale and the annual Fabulous Fashion & Friends fashion show.

The Garage Sale for Good will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10a-5p at My Best Friend’s Closet, located at 1617 32nd Ave. S., Suite J, in Fargo. Come ready to dig for name-brand bargains, refresh your closet and help make healing and support possible in our community—one $2 find at a time.
