For more than four decades, Harvest Moon Fling has brought our community together in support of Sollera and the people we serve. What began as an actual dancing “fling” has grown into a gala—and one of Sollera’s largest fundraisers of the year. Each October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, guests gather for an evening of connection and fun, including live and silent auctions, wine and seltzer tasting courtesy of Cash Wise Liquor, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a photo booth courtesy of Odie Photo Booth, and a program that brings guests closer to Sollera’s mission.
The evening is fun, but its purpose runs deeper. Formerly the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Sollera provides counseling, 24-hour crisis advocacy, school-based support, and prevention education at no cost, alongside offender education and safe parenting time and exchanges. Together, these programs allow us to respond when harm happens, support healing, strengthen safety, encourage accountability, and work further upstream to prevent future harm.
Harvest Moon Fling is an invitation to be part of that work. Proceeds help sustain Sollera’s programs and ensure victim-survivors can access advocacy and counseling without being financially responsible for their victimization. Together, we’re working toward the future we all want: a safer community with less violence and abuse. Everyone is welcome to join us each October—and after 41 years, we still know how to have a little fun along the way.
